June is pretty much over, it's flown by, but as always, I have a small pile of the bits I've been enjoying throughout the month to share with you. I've decided to just streamline this post down to just skincare and beauty bits, but if you want to see the rest of the lifestyle bits I've been loving, my full June Favourites video is below.
Molecule 01 Escentric Molecule Perfume - The wasn't included in my favourite video, mainly because I forgot about it, but at least it gives an added bonus to the blog post. I wear this perfume most days and always get told I smell nice. I love the scent and people have commented saying it smells like me - I like that idea of having a signature scent.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream - I just like how simple this is, and it seems to really do the job.
The Body Shop Skin Clearing Mask - Since I've been using this more I've noticed a real difference in my skin, plus it feels very refreshing.
Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser - I've been really enjoying washing my face using this recently, and my skin seems much clearer since I have been using it.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream - It does exactly what it promises. Your skin becomes better. There's good coverage, it feels light on the skin, and there SPF in it.
Marc Jacobs The Bronze Brush - The quality and shape of this brush make it perfect to apply your bronzer flawlessly.
Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette - Despite everyone telling me I'd never use this palette and look ridiculous when I do, I get so much use of out it, and always get compliments on my eye makeup when I do. I wrote a full post on it here.

When payday came around I was quick to search around for the new foundation and moisturiser as I was running low and fancied a bit of a change.
I noticed Selfridges have recently started stocking the IT Cosmetics 'Your Skin but Better CC Cream' a product I've been desperate to get my hands on for ages, but living in the UK it was a lot more difficult to get hold of. I, of course, needed to order it immediately when I saw it on the Selfridges website. There's a quite a small shade range in this product, which for once I felt thankful for, it made ordering it online a lot easier to guess the shade I needed. Being on the paler side, it wasn't too difficult to figure out I either needed the shade fair or light. The fair was out of stock, so that was my decision made. Overall, I like the shade Light, it blends nicely and has a fairly neutral undertone. I possibly could have done with slightly lighter, I may try the Fair in the future, although Light is really not far from what I need.
The formula is very creamy, it feels hydrating and the light on the skin. As for how it looks - it does exactly what it says on the bottle. Despite the high coverage, it doesn't look at all heavy, it just looks like your skin, but better. It's also got the added bonus of SPF 50. On first impressions, I'm really impressed with the product. It got me wanted to try more from IT cosmetics, let me know if you have any recommendations, please!

When I noticed they sell the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, I popped it straight into my basket. I've heard so many good things about this product, and as I often have dry, damaged skin, it seemed perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by the price. I'd always thought it was a slightly more expensive product, but at £10 it's a bargain. It's an unscented cream which is fairly thick. It's very non-offensive, which is what I look for in skincare as I know it's less likely to irritate my sensitive skin. I love that this is a multi-use product, I've found myself using it on my hands and elbows as well as the face. It sinks into the skin very fast, and simply feels nice to wears.
Overall, on first impressions, I'm really happy with both products. A very successful mini haul!

Neom Tranquility Intensive Skin Treatment Candle Review
For Christmas, my Brother and his girlfriend kindly got me the Neom Tranquility Skin Treatment Candle - when I saw it was a Neom Candle, it's safe to say I was excited - Neom is such a lovely luxury brand, however, I usually struggle to justify spending the money on luxury candles for myself, so this gift was a real treat.
Then, I realised this wasn't your standard lovely candle which just burns away - this candle was meant for skin treatment - after burning the candle and letting the wax cools, it creates an oil which you pop onto your skin for deep nourishment.
Firstly, this seemed utterly bizarre, I've never known a candle to double up as a skin treatment before, but also fabulous. I love burning candles and my skin is often in need of some nourishment.
I've got the tranquilly scent, which is great to use before bed, you can smell the Lavender and Jasmine in the candle which helps to relax me and ensure a restful nights sleep, something which I usually struggle with. They also do a treatment candle in the Real Luxury scent which it's meant to distress - something I'm very keen to try!
I love the scent of this candle. You can tell this candle is of high quality as you can occasionally smell the candle when it is unlit, and once the candle is burning the scent can fill a room, without feeling too overpowering and headache-inducing.
The candle is in a beautiful white jar with gold detailing, so it looks great on display and would fit nicely into pretty much any room. There is a pointed nib to make pointing the oil out easier - it also has the gold drop detailing on it, which I think is a nice little feature - overall the package of this product is fab.
The part I'm sure you're most keen to hear about is the skin treatment...
I opted to pour the candle on to my hands, rather than straight to where I intended to put it on the skin because that just felt a little less messy and this works just fine. The consistency is quite thick as you'd imagine, and a little bit went a long way (which I guess is a good thing because it will last so much longer), it felt slightly as though it sat on top of the skin when I first massaged it in, then it seemed to sink in and made my skin feel, and look softer almost instantly. It definitely made a difference to my skin - and it felt as though it gave my legs much deeper nourishment than your standard moisturiser.
I'm really impressed with the product overall - I was sceptical as first, however, I found it does a fab job both being a lovely candle, and skin treatment, plus, it looks pretty too - I'm tempted to treatment to the other scent.

Face Masks.
Recently I've gone a little face mask crazy! As my skin has not been looking its greatest, I've been trying different face masks in hope to sort it out, whilst having a bit of a pamper!
So here's the lowdown on some of the masks I've been trying...
Firstly I've got the Peel and Polish from Pixi. I know, technically this is not a mask - but I've been using it a fair bit lately, so thought it deserved a mention. This feels kind of scrub like on the skin, and leaves tingly sensation whilst on the skin. My face seems a lot smoother after using this, I think it noticeably gets rid of dead skin cells, which leaves my skin looking more alive. You only have to keep this on for 5 minutes, so it's pretty quick to use. You also need to use SPF with this. It's £26 - so not the cheapest, but I think you can definitely see the difference in your skin.
For Blemishes, I have been using The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mask. This green mask goes on thick like a clay mask and feels very fresh on the skin. As the mask dries you can feel your skin tighten. I have noticed reduced redness after using this, and any problem areas seemed to have sorted themselves out shortly after using this mask. I think this mask is great for blemish - but I wouldn't use it if I were blemish free, as my skin is on the dryer side, and this is recommended for more oily skin types - however it's great when it comes to targeting spots and redness. This mask is only £11, which I think is pretty good as I feel it makes a visible difference to my skin.
Another green mask I have is from Lush. It's the Love Lettuce mask which is one of their fresh face masks which you keep it in the fridge - so it's always cool when you apply it and I have a feeling it also has an expiry date, which is something to be aware of. You can tell from the texture and the smell this is an all-natural mask, which honestly, I both like and dislike. The texture of it is quite lumpy and grainy so it doesn't feel all that nice to put onto your skin, I also dislike the scent - some people, however, seem to really like the scent. I love that it contains very few ingredients (11 to be exact) so I can be aware of exactly what I'm putting on my face, The skin again tightens as the mask dries. When you wash the mask off it feels quite exfoliating, and it leaves the skin feeling much fresher, and looking less dull. This one is priced at £6.95 - so the cheapest of the lot so far - it's worth the cost, but I'm definitely interested in trying the other Lush fresh face masks to see if they've got anything to target the dryness in my skin (and recommendation would be great!)
I have two sheet masks which I've used recently. The first I've heard quite a lot about before I used it, so I had some expectation. It's the Garnier Moisture Bomb tissue mask. This literally does what it says. It gives you a surge of moisture which is great (especially when you've got skin like mine) but I do find it's a bit of a pain in the ass to put on and isn't really comfortable to wear. This is also only £1, and you can get it in pretty much any Boots or Superdrug, so it's a good one to pick up if your skin is feeling particularly dry. I also like that you can just do it as a one-off, whereas a lot of masks are to be done 2-3 times a week. This mask did live up to my expectations - I just would have liked it to have felt a better fit on my face.
Lastly, I have the Cat Nip Sheet Mask by Nails Inc. I really enjoyed using this mask -it feels as though it both moisturises and nourishes your skin. It's also a better fit and more comfortable to wear than the Garnier mask - it was, however, more expensive at £5, it's pricey for sheet masks - but it seemed to make my skin look more alive. The actually mask has a cat on it too which is pretty cute. It did leave quite a lot of residue on my skin after use, so I spent a while attempting to rub it all in.

Give your friends flowers...
Today I finished work and before heading to see some of my closest friends I decided to get some skincare I'd be after for a while, and as I knew my friend Jaynie wanted to try out the same product, so I decided to be good like egg and pick her up a set of her own.
As I carried on walking through the Mall, I got to M&S I stopped to look at the flowers (because who doesn't stop to admire flowers?!) and it made me think how lovely it is to receive flowers, so I decided to pick up a bunch, not for myself this time, but for my friend Gina - just because I thought it would make her smile, and then I realised the thought of it made me smile too (cheesy I know). However, I acknowledged how lovely it feels to treat your friends.
If people are good to you, you should show your appreciation, even when it's not expected for you. If you've got a bit of spare money, you should think about getting a little treat for your friends and family - because it's nice to be nice. I think it made my day, as well as there's!

Rose Oil Blend (£26) - I've really enjoyed using this oil so far, it just gives my skin that extra bit of nourishment could do with. It does take a little while to sink into the skin, though, but smell lovely and leaves my skin feeling well looked after.
Pixi Skincare Haul
A beauty brand I really love is Pixi. The Pixi Glow tonic has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine, as soon as I'm running low, I'll repurchase because I can't bare to go without this.
Anyway, as my love for the brand seems to be common knowledge. I was very kindly treated to some other Pixi skincare bits for Christmas - so here's what I got and my thoughts so far...
Rose Oil Blend (£26) - I've really enjoyed using this oil so far, it just gives my skin that extra bit of nourishment could do with. It does take a little while to sink into the skin, though, but smell lovely and leaves my skin feeling well looked after.
Overnight Glow Serum (£26) - okay, I've cheated a little with this one, as I actually had it a while before Christmas. But I love it. The morning after I use this my skin is just a little less dull than usual and noticeably evens skin tone.
Nourishing Sleep Mask (£18) - this is super moisturising and comfortable to sleep in. In the morning after using this I can really feel the difference, my skin feels a lot more hydrated and less tight than usual. I'm really enjoying using this product so far! Glow Mud Cleanser (£18) - This is one of those cleansers which just makes your skin feel really clean, although it doesn't really remove makeup, so you have to do that in a separate step. It's very thick and feels almost mask-like when it first goes on the skin and then leaves your skin feeling really fresh and exfoliated, despite the texture of the product feeling more like a balm than a scrub on the skin
Glow Tonic (£18)- as I've already touched on, this has become a staple in my skincare routine. It's hard to describe, but it just gives my skin a radiance and my skin feels so much smoother when I use this.
Make-Up Melting Cleansing Cloths (£10) - I tend to steer away from makeup wipes because overall they're not great for your skin, but these ones seem fairly non-offensive. They don't quite remove every inch of product from my skin, but they manage a fair amount, and they don't irritate my sensitive skin. They're great for those days when you're in a bit of a rush and I'll definitely be packing these next time I'm travelling.

It's literally what it says on the bottle, a hydrating milky mist. I like to spray this on my face through the day to give my skin a surge of moiusture. It's very refreshing to use, and can also be used over make up.

Whilst rummaging through my skincare I noticed three of my staple products are from the same brand; Pixi by Petra. I thought I'd write a little post on the three to give the brand a bit of a high five, and to let you know some skincare that I think is well worth your money.
Glow Tonic: Possibly the most talked about of the three. Pixi Glow Tonic is an exfoliating toner, which I find leaves my skin looking alive and healthy. I'm on my second bottle of this now and I will keep repurchasing as this is the only skincare product I've found to give my skin such a natural glow.

It's literally what it says on the bottle, a hydrating milky mist. I like to spray this on my face through the day to give my skin a surge of moiusture. Overnight Glow Serum: The gloopy night serum leaves my complexion feeling brighter and my skin looking healthy in a similar way that the glow tonic does. When I wake up after using this I find my skin looks slightly more alive. Also how cute this the bottle?!
As I'm not scientist, or skincare expert, I've probably done a pretty poor job of explaining what each of these products do, or how they work, so I'll leave it at this. I love what all three of the products to do my skin, and I can definitely see a difference in a appearance and texture of my skin when I use then - I'd strongly recommend trying them out if you haven't.

Bits and bobs I've been enjoying.
It has been a while since I've done a favourites blogpost, and as there are a lot of things that have been taking my fancy recently, so I thought I'd share some of them with you today.
I've really been trying to up my skincare game, so I have spent far too much money on Cult Beauty - however I have little regrets as I'm happy with all of the things I picked up. I have especially been enjoying this Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum - it absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves your skin feeling smooth, hydrated and just looking slightly more alive.
The Pixi Overnight Glow Serum also deserves a shout out. I pop this on before bed and my skin is looking and feeling fresher than ever first thing in the morning.
Every evening when I return home from work I have found myself looking forward to putting on my pjs and lighting my Stone Glow Ginger and White Lily Candle. It's a candle that scents the whole room, yet somehow it's not too overpowering. It's fresh, yet musky and it's just a scent I've really been enjoying.
Another scent I've found myself enjoying is Dior's Hypnotic Poison. I find this scent is feminine yet musky and mature. I find it near impossible to give a decent description of a perfume, so I'd recommend giving it a whiff.
Whenever I wear this and catch a hint of it throughout the day, I always find myself falling in love with the scent all over again.
Lastly, I have this cute little moon anklet I wanted to share with you. I don't usually wear anklets but when I stumbled across the one on the Coconut Lane website I knew I had to have it, especially at such an affordable price. Anyone that knows me knows I'm obsessed with crescent moons, and I think this is the perfect way to add a little finish touch to an outfit.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser
I've been looking for a new moisturiser for a while as I felt mine wasn't quite cutting it. So, when I started to see this one appear in the blogging world, I had to try it. I've been using this product for a while now, and I have to got to say, I can see a difference in my skin. I suffer which quite dry skin, which means often I find my make up clinging to dry patches, not a great look. However, since I've been using this my makeup has been applying smoother and my skin doesn't appear quite so dull.
This product has quite a thick gel-like texture to it, so I expected it to feel heavy on the skin, however it sinks into the skin pretty fast so you can apply it to make up almost immediately after moisturising, which is great if you're in a rush.
This moisturiser has a slight citrus scent to it, which makes me think of summer! I find when you apply it, it sinks into the skin as it gives the skin a slight tingle while it absorbs. This is something I personally like, I find it reassuring to know the product is there and working - it also makes it quite refreshing to use, giving me an extra boost on those early, tired mornings.
I like the packaging of this product. I much prefer moisturiser in a pot, rather than a squeezy tube because I find it's less messy and you can get to the product easier. Also, the orange glass jar looks nice enough on my bedside table which is always a bonus.
Being summertime I feel slightly disappointed that there is no SPF in this product, other than that I think I have found my new go-to moisturiser.

Hot Vanilla Fudge Facemask
In my most recent haul (which you can find here) you'll know I picked up the Hot Vanilla Fudge Clay Face Mask from Primark for just 90p which I think is such a bargain!
As I used the face mask Saturday I thought I'd do a little review to let you know my opinion on this one so you can decide if it's worth picking up.
I've got to say this product exceeded my expectations - costing just 90p, I didn't think it would be great, but as it was so cheap I have nothing to lose.
Firstly I was super impressed by the scent, although it says it's vanilla fudge flavour I wasn't anticipating it quite to smell so strongly of vanilla fudge, it smelt delicious, I felt half tempted to eat it!
Also, another thing which surprised me was how warming this mask was. As I massaged it into my skin the mask would heat up, which is a strange yet satisfying sensation.
I was also impressed by how much was in one pouch. I used the entire pouch on one face mask for myself, but I didn't need to use so much, I simply continued adding more of the mask to use it up, however, I think if you wanted to do a face mask with a friend, you could probably just about use one pouch for two of you!
I found with this face mask the consistency didn't change too much while the mask was on my face. I expected it to harden after a while on my skin like some clay face masks do but it didn't.
After using the face mask my skin definitely felt smoother and smelt great.
Overall I would recommend this product if you're in need of a little pampering and fancy using a face mask but you don't have much spare money. The only complaint I have about this product is I didn't like the packaging much, as I found it to be quite messy, but considering it cost 90p I can hardly complain about that!

Of the products, I definitely want to get my hands on the Elemis Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion again as whenever I use it my skin feels so incredibly soft and healthy, I can honestly say no moisturiser or body lotion has ever made such a difference to my skin.
Recently I have also used two product from Clean and Clear, the Morning Energy Skin Brightening Daily Facial Scrub and the Morning Energy Daily Facial Wash, I'm not going to talk much about the scrub as I have already done a blog post on this which you can find here, but I will definitely be buying that one again. As for the wash, I did like the product but I didn't love it quite so much as the scrubs, so it may be something I go back to but for now, I think I could probably find a face wash I like just as much if not more, hopefully for a similar sort of price.
Empty Products...
I am sure I am not the only beauty addict who finds that once one of my beauty product runs out, the rest soon follow, then I end up having one very expensive shopping trip, where I need to figure out what is worth re-buying and where I want to experiment with some new products. I have also done a video on this on my new youtube channel which you can find here if you prefer watching over reading.
Of the products, I definitely want to get my hands on the Elemis Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion again as whenever I use it my skin feels so incredibly soft and healthy, I can honestly say no moisturiser or body lotion has ever made such a difference to my skin.
I will also be buying the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer again. There is not really much point in me talking about this because every other blogger in the world has spoken about this concealer, it's great coverage and a super cheap - only next time I think I will buy a litter shade, I have it in cool medium 2 at the moment but I think I'd be better off with a slightly lighter shade to add some highlight my under-eye circles.
A perfume I have recently finished up is the Yves Saint Laurent Manifesto, and I have absolutely loved this perfume, I am not the greatest at describing scents so I'm not going to try as I probably won't do it any justice, but whenever I wear this I always get compliments on it. Go out and give it a sniff, it really nice, mature, and long-lasting - well worth the money.
I have also recently finished up the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser, this isn't the first time I have had and finished the moisturiser, I really like it, it's good value for money, does the job, smells delicious, and is super refreshing, however for a while I think I am going to try another moisturiser as I feel this more one for summer, and during the winter months as my skin begins to dry out more I like to use more of a high-end moisturiser as I think my skin needs a little more of pampering this time of year.
The last two empty product I have are the Zoella Fizz Bar and the Simple Eye Make-Up Remover. Although I liked both of these products and thought they were both good value for money, I wasn't as impressed by the products as I would have like to have been so I think although I might be purchase these products in the future it won't be for a little while.

September Beauty & Skincare Favourites
It's October 3rd...
Sorry I couldn't resist the Mean Girls reference!
... as I was saying, today it's the 3rd of October, which means September has drawn to a close, very swiftly might I add, it feels like September was over before it began, not that I am complaining, I love that it is beginning to feel more like Autumn!
Not only does the end of September mean it's now October, but it also means it is time for September favourites!
I have also made a video on this which is currently uploading to my (very new) youtube channel (which you can find here), once the video has uploaded I will share it on my blog.
At the start of September, I decided to splash out and buy myself an SLR camera, as I have been itching to start my own youtube channel, wanted to be able to take better photos for my blog, and I have a holiday to India booked, on which I plan to save as many photographic memories as possible!
Of course, at the time I was only working part-time so this did result in me having very little money the rest of the month, therefore the rest of my favourites through the month were things I have rediscovered amongst my collection.
My first favourite of the month is, of course, my new camera. I decided to get a Nikon D3200 as it was more in my price range than a lot of the other cameras and it seemed like a good option to get started on. I'm still fairly new to photography and filming, but I'm definitely enjoying experimenting with it and learning how to use my camera properly.
Now onto my beauty favourites...
Since I dyed my hair darker earlier in September I have found myself reaching for an old lipstick of mine which previously went untouched. It's the shade Eros by Calvin Klein. I'd describe the colour as a berry shade with a blue undertone. The shade is more subtle than a lot of berry shade lipsticks, it isn't too dark or too bright. I think this shade is perfect for the cooler months as it has a warm autumnal vibe to it without being too drastic.
Earlier this month I bought myself Tanya Burr Ridding Hood nail polish, as I felt stressed and in need of a treat (blog post here) and ever since I have been wearing the shade on my nails almost constantly, it's a deep red colour which is perfect for this time of year.
On my face I have been using my Zoeva Sunpower pallet a lot during September, this palette has a range of different blush and bronzer shades, to be honest, I haven't experimented with the bronze shades much yet, however, I have fallen in love with all of the blush shades, so many pretty colours, and they are all so pigmented.
I've been using the blush brush from my Zoeva bamboo brush set (more on these brushes here) to apply these blushes, and I've also been really loving the brush, it is the perfect shape and size for blush and it's so soft on the skin.
For a while now I have been using the False Lash Effect Mascara by Maxfactor in brown-black, but only recently I've really begun to notice a vast improvement in my eyelashes, I think maybe the mascara is slightly better once it's dried out a little. Either way, my eyelashes are looking better than ever (I don't have the greatest eyelashes so this is the best news)
To wash my face in the evening I have been using my Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash, and I can not help but notice how much softer my skin has felt since. I feel it has made my skin feel really healthy.
Also on my face, I have been using the Superdrug Hydrating Face Mask (similar linked) during the evenings when my skin has been feeling a little dry, and the next day my skin feels so much more moisturised and healthy.
These are just some bits and bobs I have been appreciating the past month.

This post may be a little premature as I have only been using this product for just a few weeks, but so far I've been so impressed by it I felt it deserved a little blog post. The Morning Energy Daily Brightening Scrub by Clean & Clear is usually £3.99, but I got it on offer for a little less which I think is good value for the product.
I have really sensitive skin so always feel a little anxious when it comes to trying new skin products just in case my skin reacts badly, the facial scrub, however, has not irritated my skin in the slightest - and it's even scented (a lovely refreshing lemony smell).
This product is perfect to add to your morning routine, especially if like me you're not really a morning person, it just wakes you up that little bit more. It leaves your skin feeling cool, clean and refreshed for a while after use. I can see a difference in my skins since I've been using this, it's feeling really soft and I do think it makes my skin look that little bit brighter too. - whether I can only see this difference because I'm looking out for it, I'm not sure. Nonetheless, I'm happy with the difference I can see.
It does say this product can be used during the evening too, but so far I've only used it in the morning as I feel it's too awaken for use before bed - however, I think it will give it a go as my skin feels super soft since I began using this scrub.
So to wrap this post up, I would strongly recommend this product if you're looking for a refreshing face exfoliator on a budget. Really good value, great smell, and visible results. I will definitely be picking up this face scrub again.

The Ren Emollient Rescue Cream (similar linked) has been an absolute lifesaver for my skin. I suffer from really dry, sensitive skin, so always worry about changing up my basic skincare routine with the same familiar products, which has left me using the same moisturiser for years, despite it only having made a difference to my skin for about all of five minutes and then left my skin in the same condition it was before I smothered my face in cream. Alas, I decided to be brave and try something new, and I will definitely not be going back.
I first read about this product on a random blog (sorry, I no longer have the link) I found when looking for a skincare recommendation and as the price isn't too high I decided to pop to M&S and get some. Since I have been using this product my skin has been in better condition than it has for years.
The moisturizer is a very thick consistency, it absorbs into the skin quickly, and has a very slight clinical scent to it.
It would definitely recommend this product for those of you with dry skin, especially if your skin is in need of a rescue (I feel the product was named particularly well as it has definitely saved my skin). On the packaging it says suitable for all skin types, however, I feel it could be slightly too thick for a more oily skin type.
This is the first of the REN skincare products I've tried, so I am looking forward to giving some more of their products a go to see if the entire range is this impressive. I've also very pleased to hear that REN Skincare is Vegan and Cruelty-Free.
