Navy Lace.
Wednesday 30 March 2016
I recently splashed out a little on a dress for no real reason. Although my bank balance has been looking a little sadder than usual, I do not regret a thing.
This Whistles dress is beautiful fabric and quality, which can be both dressed up and down.
I love the length of this dress, I think it makes it the perfect for every season, and the shorter underskirt creating the sheer lace at the bottom gives the most pretty finish.
For a day time look here, I have decided to style it with a brown leather satchel handbag, which sorry to say I got from a vintage store in Paris a few years back so I'm not sure where to find another, although I'm sure there are plenty similar on the high street.
I then went with my tan sandals from Dune, an Olivia Burton Watch, and a simple gold Moon necklace from Asos, which I need to make sure isn't twisted in future wear.
What do you think of this outfit? I can see myself throwing this on over and over again.

Let's Catch Up - Easter Weekend
Monday 28 March 2016
As I type this blog post out it is around 1pm on a Monday - not my usual blogging time, my usual work time. However today it is Easter Monday my work uniform has been traded in for my comfy PJs .
I thought I'd have a little catch up with you today, and tell you about my Easter Weekend. Rather than the much too short, two day weekend, being Easter Weekend I've had a four day weekend, which I feel was a much-needed break from the day job.
On Friday the 25th March, it wasn't just Good Friday at my house, it was also, my older sisters 26th birthday. Which of course meant presents, cake, yummy breakfast and all round good vibes.
I and Mum decided to get Easter Cupcakes for Kerry's Birthday as it was fitting with Kerry's Birthday falling on good Friday , and how cute are they?
My sister went off shopping for the day, so I spent the rest of the day writing blog posts, taking photos, planning and filming videos. I felt very productive, and very much in my happy place.
I sat down with my laptop, a cup of tea, and of course, it would be rude to not have a hot cross bun on Easter weekend.
To be completely honest, the Saturday was a complete contrast to the previous day - I spent most of the day in my pyjamas, watching Pretty Little Liars, having a bit of a down day. I'm not going to go into details but there are some days we don't feel great, right? Well, that was one of those days for me. I just felt a little sad, and unsatisfied with my current situation - but moods are temporary, eh? Just because I was having on a bad day , it didn't mean I had to have an all-round crappy easter weekend.
Early evening my sister spotted a beautiful rainbow outside her bedroom window, so of course she called me and my camera to get a picture. It was a nice little reminder that things we're as bad as they felt.
Easter Sunday I woke up, on the right side of bed this time, showered and got ready. Benji, a close friend was passing through Bristol, so he decided to say hello. We went for a lovely pub lunch, and then headed to Blaise Castle to have an Easter Walk, which was quite refreshing and a nice way to get out of the house. We then went back to mine, had a cup of tea and a much needed catch up. It was a really lovely day - I just wish that when I packed my camera in my bag I checked there was a memory card in there. So I had to make do with a few iphone snaps , but there's nothing wrong with that.
And that leaves today. It is another Pyjama day for me, a happier one however - to be spent writing and photographing - in my happy place. Before back to the reality of work tomorrow.
How have you spent Easter Weekend?

Flowers.
Saturday 19 March 2016
One of my favourite things about Spring is the colours and the flowers. Recently my house has become more and more filled with flowers due to the time of year, a few birthdays, mothers day and congratulations, and I have become more obsessed.
I have also found a love I didn't know I had - photographing flowers. I have often found myself admiring flowers through my viewfinder, so I thought I'd share that beauty I was with you.
I'll warn you, I struggled to narrow down the pictures, so be prepared to see a whole lot of flowers.
I'm thinking of starting flower series, what do you think?
I know flowers brighten up my day, so I hope these brightened up your day too.
Love,
Chloé

Birthday Preparations.
Wednesday 16 March 2016
As I type away at the blogpost, it is the evening of my mums birthday. Without being too cringe, my Mum is my favourite person ever, so I wanted to make her birthday special, as she does every year for me. I booked the day off work so we could have a nice day together, which we did (I also vlogged, which will be up on my youtube channel Sunday).
I wanted Mum to come downstairs in the morning and be surprised to see the room set up all pretty with birthday things, you know what I mean right? I wanted her to come downstairs and think how lucky she is, and what I wonderful start to her birthday.
Despite my day off work, my 6am alarm stayed on, which I've got to be honest was pretty painful, but I dragged myself out of bed to blow up balloons while I drank my morning coffee. After blowing up the pack of balloon I bought the previous day, I headed downstair. Of course I popped up a Happy Birthday sign. We have a Birthday sign which we always get out - however I didn't realise it had got a little crushed and ripped in the drawer, but it was nothing a bit of tape couldn't fix, although I half wish I got a new one, it did the job.
I then sprinkled some balloon confetti on the table and laid out the presents for mum. I bought the most gorgeous floral wrapping paper from Waterstones, which I added brown string bows to, and then used brown wrapping paper with pink ribbon and white lace to wrap the remaining presents, so I had a pink theme. Luckily my brother and his girlfriend used wrapping paper which fitted in quite well, a green a pink floral paper with a pink bow.
My mum is not massively into birthday cake, so I didn't see the point in getting birthday cake, however cake is surely a birthday requirement so I wanted some type of replacement. I came across these little cake bites in M&S and thought they were perfect - so I got some mini carrot cakes, coffee cakes and some 'afternoon tea' cakes, and popped them onto to a pretty cake stand - they were also delicious.
I think my mum was pretty happy when she came downstairs and saw the effort I'd made. We had the most lovely day together, which you'll hear more about in my video sunday.
What do you like to do to celebrate your loved ones birthdays?

Youtube Relaunch
Sunday 13 March 2016
You may (or may not) have noticed I've been slightly more distant from my blog recently, well it's all for good reason. I have been working other projects - more precisely my youtube channel relaunch.
I have spent the last few weeks filming and editing videos so I can hopefully, finally have a youtube channel I proud of.
So, I now have a bunch of videos ready to go, and a bunch of ideas I'm excited to start working on.
I will be posting a video every Sunday at 7pm (U.K time). If you'd like to, please subscribe, it would be nice to see some support behind my new project.
I know I've got a lot of learning to do, but it would be amazing if you can come along with me on the journey (cliché, I know). I'm not sure where this will take me, but I'm excited.
Here's the first video of many, I'd love to hear what you think.

Bits and bobs I've been enjoying.
Saturday 12 March 2016
It has been a while since I've done a favourites blogpost, and as there are a lot of things that have been taking my fancy recently, so I thought I'd share some of them with you today.
I've really been trying to up my skincare game, so I have spent far too much money on Cult Beauty - however I have little regrets as I'm happy with all of the things I picked up. I have especially been enjoying this Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum - it absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves your skin feeling smooth, hydrated and just looking slightly more alive.
The Pixi Overnight Glow Serum also deserves a shout out. I pop this on before bed and my skin is looking and feeling fresher than ever first thing in the morning.
Every evening when I return home from work I have found myself looking forward to putting on my pjs and lighting my Stone Glow Ginger and White Lily Candle. It's a candle that scents the whole room, yet somehow it's not too overpowering. It's fresh, yet musky and it's just a scent I've really been enjoying.
Another scent I've found myself enjoying is Dior's Hypnotic Poison. I find this scent is feminine yet musky and mature. I find it near impossible to give a decent description of a perfume, so I'd recommend giving it a whiff.
Whenever I wear this and catch a hint of it throughout the day, I always find myself falling in love with the scent all over again.
Lastly, I have this cute little moon anklet I wanted to share with you. I don't usually wear anklets but when I stumbled across the one on the Coconut Lane website I knew I had to have it, especially at such an affordable price. Anyone that knows me knows I'm obsessed with crescent moons, and I think this is the perfect way to add a little finish touch to an outfit.
If this, or anything else on the Coconut Lane website takes your fancy, I have kindly been given a 20% discount to share with my readers - you just need to pop into 'chloeharriets20' at the checkout to save a few pennies.
What bits and bobs have you been enjoying recently?

Essie - Cocktail Bling
Saturday 5 March 2016
An Essie nail polish I've found myself reaching almost constantly the last few weeks is Cocktail Bling.
It's somewhere between a grey and blue with a purple tint to it. I love this shade because it's so neutral so you can wear it, with whatever, whenever. Yet, although it's a neutral shade, I it's still an interested colour, because it's a shade somewhere in between colours which you don't often see - it's nail colour unlike any other I own. It's isn't too dark, it isn't too light, it isn't too dull, it isn't too bright.
I've found this to be a very easy to wear sophisticated shade, and although they chip a little more than I would like, I do love the Essie formula, they're affordable, I find them easy to apply and you usually only need a coat or two.
I'd recommend giving this one a go.
