Shades of Nude...
Saturday, 6 August 2016
There are some days when you want to look polish and chic, whilst keeping it subtle.
I have a lip and nail combo which I have found perfect for achieving this look. Of course, I'm going for nudes, they're on trend and oh so easy to wear with anything and everything. Plus I think nude lips and nails they give a nice sophisticated finish to any look.
The lip and nail shades are both different shades of nude. I personly don't like it too matching so I think they work really well together.
The lighter of the pair is the shade Kissed from the Barry M Coconut Infused Nail Polish range. This is a really easy to wear nude. It's not too dark, not too light, not too brown toned and not too pink toned. It's a very middle of the road nude which I think suits my pale skin tone and makes my nails looking very healthy and polished (pun not intended). I also love the formula of these Barry M Coconut Infused Nail Polish. They're nice to apply, dry fairly quickly, they're pretty long lasting, and they're good for your nails. Plus they're also inexpensive. I'd definitely recommend giving this nail polish a go.
As for my current go to lip (Yes, I've actually taken a step back from MAC Whirl, I never thought I'd see the day) is created using the very talked about Kylie Lip Kits in the shade Candy K. This is a much darker shade of nude, which I think suits me more when it comes to lips. It's a brown toned nude with a slight pink hint to it and a matte finish. Of course, it was a pain in the ass to get hold of, and a bit bloody expensive once I'd paid for delivery and customs, but worth every penny. I like both the liquid lipstick and the liner, and I'm a lot happier with the shade than I'd expected.
I love wear of both these variations of nude, they've become my go-to! What are your go-to nude shades?

I thought I would share a make up look I have been enjoying lately. It's a simple gold eye with a pop of colour along the lower lash line.
I'm no make up expert, so I'm simply going to tell you what products I used, rather than how I created the look because I'm sure that's pretty self explanatory, and I'm not so sure you would want to copy the look I've gone for completely - however you may be interested to hear what product I used.

Barry M Blues
Friday, 8 May 2015
As I have a new top that is very colourful (blog post on that here), I decided to be a bit more experimental with my nail polish to match. I'm the first to admit I'm not the greatest at painting my nails, however, I like to try.
Here I used three different blues all from Barry M, in the shades 291 Cobalt Blue, 294 Cyan Blue, 340 Aqua Glitter.
I narrowed it down to three blue colours I liked, and as I couldn't decide which one to go for, I went a little crazy and used all three!
I like to have one nail a different shade, I just think it makes things more interesting, so I went for the Cobalt Blue on my ring fingers.
I then opted for Cyan Blue all over the rest of my nails, with Aqua Glitter on the cuticle fading upwards to add some sparkle to the look, but hopefully avoiding an over-the-top trashy glitter look. What do you think?
Love,
Chloe

Despite having no plans a few days back, I decided to put on a full face of makeup, mainly because I felt crappy and I sometimes I find the better I look, the better I feel (plus who want to cry off expensive mascara, and winged eyeliner which is basically an art form when you get it right?!). Now I'm not the greatest at doing my makeup but I thought I'd share the look with you nonetheless as it's slightly different to what I'd usually go for.

Barry M Liquid Eyeliner
Wednesday, 10 September 2014
I recently rediscovered this eyeliner (similar linked) when sorting through my makeup, I came very close to throwing it away but decided against it just in case the opportunity to wear bright blue eyeliner came along, then one day I was feeling a bit bored of wearing my usual neutral eyeshadows, so I decided to try this eyeliner on for a bit of a change.
I'm really surprised at how much I love it, I thought it looked a bit too bright, but I feel it does not look over the top, and it really brightens up my dark eyes.
It was a very long time ago I bought this, however, I have had a look, and Boots do still sell the Barry M liquid liner for £6.99 which I think is great value for the product, however, I am not 100% sure they still do this shade.
Despite first thinking, this shade would be too bright for everyday wear, I have fallen in love with the vibrant colour, it's a really beautiful shade of blue, which I think looks great with the contrast of my dark eyes.
What I love the most about this eyeliner is the staying power.
I have a really bad habit of rubbing my eyes, which means usually by the end of the day I have makeup all over my face.. and not in a good way. This eyeliner, however, does not budge, not even slightly, throughout the day, it looks as though I have just applied it, the only eyeliner I have ever found this with.
I also find apply this eyeliner is not a struggle, while it is not quite so easy to apply as my Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner it is certainly a close second, and achieving a cat-eye/winged liner look is quick and easy.
Overall if you're looking for a long-lasting eyeliner to brighten up your make up I would highly recommend this!
I am certainly going to have a look to see what other shades are available in this eyeliner!
I hope you've all had a lovely day,
Love Chloe

Barry M Boots Limited Edition Nail Paint Review | Beauty
Wednesday, 3 September 2014
I recently rediscovered this nail polish when sorting out my bedroom. In total I came across 4 bottles, none of which were empty or needed throwing out.
Why four bottles? I originally bought this nail polish a few years back, and fell in love with the colour, it became my go-to nail polish. As it's a limited edition shade, which I was constantly wearing I decided to stock up.
The nail polish is a pale purple colour, with a pink tone to it. I really love this shade and I have had so many compliments on my nails when they've been this colour. I am so happy to rediscover this colour, it's slowly becoming a favourite of mine again.
If you usually read my blog, you'll know that I am a big fan of Barry M nail varnish, I'm not going to say too much about the brand because I feel like I've gone on about Barry M nails polishes in a few posts now, I just think they are great value for money, have a lovely range of colours and finishes and are fairly long-lasting.
If you come across this colour, I would definitely pick some up, I'm glad I bought a few of these when I did, they will come in handy now I've rediscovered my love for this colour.

I have used this nail polish (Barry M Shocking Pink, shade 272) for a long time and always come back to it as it's one of my favourite nail colours and I feel it's a bit of an all-rounder. I think it's nice and bright for summer, but it's not a pastel shade so can be worn during winter without looking out of place. It's quite a bright girly colour so I like to wear this shade to add a bit of a feminine touch to my outfit.
It's by Barry M, so it's really affordable, which has definitely been handy as I use this nail polish so often I've needed to replace it a few times. It a nice formula, spread over the nail really easily and dries pretty quickly too, so perfect for if you're painting your nails in a rush (which is often this case for me!)
I find two coat of this nail polish is the perfect amount, which is what I've used in the picture, and I feel it makes for beautiful nails!
