3 lipstick loves...
Today I thought I'd share some lippy's I've found myself reaching for constantly recently.
There are three which I've been obsessed with and each is a little different from the last so I've found myself simply rotating between the three.

There are three which I've been obsessed with and each is a little different from the last so I've found myself simply rotating between the three.
I love this lip product for when I'm looking for something subtle to go on my lips. The shade is so pretty and understated and I love the glossy finish. It's super easy to apply and was also super cheap. The nudist shade is perfect for my lips but better look. This is just a really easy lip product to wear - for £3.50, you really can't go wrong with this!
Firstly I love the formula of these lipsticks, they're not at all drying for a semi-matte finish and they're super long-lasting. They're slightly more pricey but 100% worth the cost, it's so comfortable to wear and hardly most through the day. This shade is a middle of the road brown/nude, which I just love. It's easy to wear but still, makes a statement, and I just always feel fab when I wear this colour - plus it works with pretty much any makeup look.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Glastonberry (£24):
Another formula I really love, again it's long-lasting and not at all drying. This shade is a deep berry colour which is a little more daring than the other two - but it's perfect for a statement - it's got a berry tone to it rather than a red tone which is a bit harder to come by and it just looks amazing on. Of course, application perfect application is a tad more tricky with a darker shade - but this looks so stunning on it's worth spending a little while longer applying your lipstick. The packaging of this one is also stunning, and who isn't a sucker for nice packaging?

I thought I'd share a makeup look I've been enjoying recently. I'm no expert at makeup, and I'm sure many girls (or guys) could achieve something a million times better, but I've been enjoying this look nonetheless.

What's on my face.
Despite having no plans a few days back, I decided to put on a full face of makeup, mainly because I felt crappy and I sometimes I find the better I look, the better I feel (plus who want to cry off expensive mascara, and winged eyeliner which is basically an art form when you get it right?!). Now I'm not the greatest at doing my makeup but I thought I'd share the look with you nonetheless as it's slightly different to what I'd usually go for.

A fragrance I have recently been enjoying lately is Jimmy Choo which my Mum kindly bought me as a gift from her holiday. I am pretty rubbish at describing scents, so rather than trying, here's how the perfume in described according to The Perfume Shop: "Jimmy Choo Parfum expresses an aura of strength and beauty and has a dazzling aura of glittering femininity.
October Favourites...
I swear it only feels like yesterday I was writing my September favourites, yet it's already time to share the things I've been loving during October!
Let's start with beauty...
This hardly needs introducing as I have spoken about it in a fair few blog posts and vlogs, it's the By Terry Ombre Blackstar shadow stick in the shade Misty Rock, I'm not going to talk too much about this I have already done a blog post dedicated entirely to this product which you can find here. I have been wearing this product almost constantly throughout the month.
The next thing I've been loving throughout October is the Brow Archery Pen by Soap and Glory, I have this in the shade Brownie Points. I find my brows look much more natural when I use this, as opposed to the Brow Zing Set by Benefit which was my go-to brow product before I got my hands on this. Also, the application is quick, easy and lasting. The brow pen comes with two ends - the thicker end is a soft waxy crayon, and the thin end is a fine pen. I have mainly been using the crayon end but adding the odd bit of definition using the pen. I really love that there are two different sides to this brow pen, it gives you the option to have different brow looks depending on the rest of your make up and what you're up to.
Glamorous in attitude, confident, intelligent and with a sense of fashion and fun, the fragrance is a modern Fruity Chypre with warm, rich, woody depths. It’s a fragrance inspired by modern women – strong, empowered, beautiful, seductive and alluring with a hidden and mysterious sense of confident sexuality." - to keep it simple, I really like this perfume, and I also get compliments on it so apparently others like it too, so go give it a spray.
I recently picked up the Pretty Quick Instant Nail Polish remover (similar linked), rather than my usual liquid nail polish remover and cotton wool pads. I've got to say I'm pretty impressed, it really quick and easy to use, you simply pop your finger in the tub which has a sponge soaked in nail polish remover with little hole for your finger, then twist and bam you're nail polish is off. It's also super good value for money.
Recently been I have enjoying is these Naked Superfood Smoothies. My favourite is this blue machine one, but I do also like the other flavours too.
I'm not usually much a smoothie person, however, I decided to try one of these with a Boots meal deal, and I've got to say they are delicious and healthy. I can't stop drinking them!

5 Autumn Lipstick | Beauty
I'm sure many beauty lovers will agree with me, that when Autumn comes around, it's time be a little braver when it comes to lip colours. Away go the pink, nudes to be replaced with deep reds, and dark berry tones. Personally, I love autumnal makeup, as I feel much more comfortable in a dark berry lip, rather than a natural lip - it's just not really me.
Just a little warning before you read any further- I would say the swatches look slightly different through the camera lens - so if you like the sound of a lips colour from my description you might be better to go off and swatch it yourself than only refer to my swatches!
So here are some of my go-to current lipstick for an autumn lip...
Let's start with the most pricey of the five.
Chanel Rouge Coco in the shade 21 Rivoli - this lipstick is a lot more high end than the rest of the lipsticks here, costing £25. This is definitely a lipstick for if you're willing to spend a little extra, and looking for high-end luxury.
As you can see this lipstick of mine is well-loved and slightly battered - it has been through the wash and thrown into a million different handbags, however, this is only because it is one of my favourites go-to lipsticks.
This is the darkest lipstick I own, so only really comes out this time of year.
I'd describe this colour as a dark plum. It has a brown, purple tone to it. I love this colour for this time of year and want to invest in some more similar shades. This lipstick has a slight shine to the finish, which I like with a darker lipstick as I feel it gives it a more feminine edge.
I really like the formula of Chanel Lipstick, I find them really moisturising and long-lasting. I also love the packaging - I think with Chanel lipsticks you can see the difference from a high street lipstick, and I don't mind paying the high price tag with a Chanel lipstick because so far I have not been let down by one.
Next up I have a MAC lipstick, it is the famous Ruby Woo.

I'm going to keep this one short because I'm sure every blogger and their dog has spoken about this lipstick.
It's a matt 'postbox' red shade.
Being MAC it is slightly more expensive at £15.50. The shade is something I go for if I wanted a classic red lip. Being a matt formula, I do find this lipstick quite drying, however it is very long-lasting.
From Calvin Klein, I have a lipstick in the shade Eros, which I bought from Fragrance Direct rather than straight from Calvin Klein, so I didn't pay much for it (I can't remember exactly how much). This lipstick is slightly more natural than the other two. I'd say the shade was a muted berry colour with a blue undertone, which I think is perfect if you want a more understated lip this time of year.
Another recent favourite of mine this the Soap and Glory Lipstick in the shade Pom Pom.
The shade is quite similar to the shade of the Calvin Klein lipstick, however, I'd say the Soap and Glory lipstick is slightly deeper and has more of a purple tint to it creating a slightly more statement lip for day to day wear.
This is my first Soap and Glory lipstick, and I am really impressed, I will definitely be trying out some more of their lipsticks.
To me, I find this lipstick feels much more expensive than it actually is. The packaging is nice, the lipstick is moisturising and fairly long-lasting, and it even has the Soap and Glory indent in the lipstick. What I really like about this lipstick, is that although it is a matt shade, the formula is not too drying - unlike the MAC lipstick I spoke about earlier which you pay a lot more for.
Lastly is more most recent lipstick purchase.
I have been wearing this lipstick a lot since I bought it. It is quite similar to the last two shades I spoke about (I'm really enjoying a muted berry lips at the moment!) but it has a slightly redder tone to it, creating a bolder casual lip. This the first of the Kate Moss lipsticks I have tried and really like it so far.

Soap & Glory Kickass Concealer and Supercat Eyeliner | First Impressions | Beauty Haul
Recently treated myself to the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer (sorry, it's no longer available) and Supercat Eyeliner as their products were buy one, get one half price offer and after hearing endless good reviews on Soap and Glory products, I was running out of reasons not to try a few out.
I cannot believe I took so long to make my first Soap and Glory purchase. I am so impressed with both, I'll definitely be picking up more of their products to try next time I am in a Boots store.
As you can see from the photos, the products come beautifully packaged, they all come in nice boxes, which is although it creates waste, I like getting products in a box, I think it feels much more luxurious, it gives a high end feel to a high street product.
I also really like the plastic packaging these product come in, there is not too much plastic packaging, and the packaging is clearly labelled and will last.
Kickass Concealer
The Kickass Concealer comes with two different shades of concealer, a translucent powder, a sponge and a mirror - which is quite a lot for such a small compact.
You can get in the shades light and medium, I opted for the shade light which has been perfect for my skin. Although there is not a large range of shades, I think this is one of those products where one shade would be suitable for a few different skin tones.
There is a peachy/pink toned concealer which is the best concealer for dark circles and a yellow-toned concealer which is great for spots, blemishes and redness.
I usually use the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, but rather than buying that again when I run out I will definitely be heading toward the Soap and Glory stand for this one. I feel having the two shades of concealer definitely brightens up my face, having a shade specifically for under the eye bags makes me look far more awake. Also, I find this feels a lot less heavy on my skin in comparison to the Collection Concealer I'm used to, which I think is definitely a plus for me as I do not like to feel as though I'm wearing heavy makeup.
Although this concealer is slightly more expensive than the concealer I'm used to, I think it is worth the extra money, and £10 is great value considering what you get.
I do not usually wear any power, as once again I feel it would make my make up appear much heavier than I like, so this translucent powder is perfect as it holds my concealer in place and gives my face a matt finish (and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth) without changing the colour of my make up or appearing too heavy.
I also think this concealer would be perfect for travelling, as it's very compact, comes with a mirror and a sponge, so you have got everything you need right there.
Supercat Eyeliner Pen
I am so impressed with this eyeliner, I've used an eyeliner with a pen nib once or twice before, but always felt it didn't make apply eyeliner any easier and couldn't see what the hype was about, however, I thought as Soap and Glory was on offer and I was low on eyeliner I may as well give this a try. I have to say, I have never found liquid eyeliner so easy, I've only used it a few times so far so it could be I was just having good eyeliner days. However, I have managed perfect cat-eye flick which is a rare occurrence and my eyeliner lasted a day of work without a single smudge, opposed to the usual end of day black eyes - this eyeliner makes such a lovely addition to my eye make up.
This just made apply eyeliner so smooth and easy, if you struggle to achieve the cat-eye/winged eyeliner look, I would recommend trying this out.
I can not wait to try out some more Soap and Glory product now!
