Recently I've been feeling a little lost, style-wise. I have always felt I know what I like, until recently when getting dressed in the morning seems to become more of a challenge each day. A few days ago I found myself staring blankly at the contents of my wardrobe, as I do most days, and a black skirt, which had been pretty unloved hiding at the back of my wardrobe, caught my eye. It's a piece I rarely wear, and I'm not sure why. Last time I wore this skirt, I received a lot of compliments, and felt, well special - and who doesn't want to feel special.
I decided to pop this black skirt with a black blouse over a black cami, at first I wasn't sure if it gave off too many funeral vibes, - I mean black on black can do that, so I decided to be a little more daring and take off my black vest, and wear it with a pretty bra, to show the sheerness of the fabric - I've gotta admit, it a little more see-through than I would like, but it certainly makes the outfit a little more interesting. I love the pretty collar, and buttons down the front of this blouse - it's a nice detail and takes aways from the hey look at my boobs aspect for when I do decide to wear it with only a bra underneath.
It's definitely a bit of witchy look, but who doesn't love giving off those Halloween vibes, even during Spring?!
What do you think of this outfit? I think I might prevent somewhat to wear worries in occasionally.

Witchy OOTD.
I decided to pop this black skirt with a black blouse over a black cami, at first I wasn't sure if it gave off too many funeral vibes, - I mean black on black can do that, so I decided to be a little more daring and take off my black vest, and wear it with a pretty bra, to show the sheerness of the fabric - I've gotta admit, it a little more see-through than I would like, but it certainly makes the outfit a little more interesting. I found myself admire the Tiger print jumpsuit in the window of Whistles for weeks, but I couldn't justify splashing on the jumpsuit simply because the tiger print is really freaking cool. I then I got invited to the evening of a wedding, and jumpsuit went on sale in the same week - so I felt as though felt as though the universe wanted to me to have the jumpsuit - and even if the universe didn't want me to have it, I wanted it enough.
As this jumpsuit is quite a statement piece, I found styling it to be a little challenging - in the end
I fell in love with some silver heels and decided the worked quite well against the navy of the jumpsuit.
To go with heels I picked up a small silver bag to put my bits in. The bag is quite small and if overstuff it, it does tend to pop open (as I'm sure you've noticed in a couple of the pictures). The jumpsuit, however, does have pockets, which excited me far too much! The pockets also stopped me worrying about the practicalities of having an iPhone 7+ and all the other handbag essentials to store and a tiny bag.
As for the jumpsuit - I am in love with it. It's silk - the fabric feels lovely and the quality of the garment is great. The only downside to the silk fabric is the creases, and panty lines can definitely show with the wrong underwear. It's a halter neck - so either a strapless bra or no bra is required as straps will definitely ruin the look.
The print is of tigers which I love. I think the tiger print is really effective because the tigers aren't initially obvious. The tiger has little orange eyes which bring another beautiful colour into the jumpsuit. I decided to go with orange tones nails and lips to tie in with the tiger's eyes, and I think it nicely finished off the look!

Farfetch Holiday Season Party Outfit | Competition
I was recently contacted about entering a competition for Farfetched.
The competition is pretty great, to be entered I was required to put together an outfit for the Party Season and tell you guys about it. Being interested in styling and shopping, this competition seemed a pretty fun blog post idea, regardless of the competition entry aspect.
After spending ages scrolling through beautiful garments and accessories on the Farfetch website, and after lusting after nearly everything on my screen, I finally settled with an outfit...
so here it is...
After some umming and erring over colour choices, I decided to stick with a fairly neutral monochrome theme for my outfit to create a classic style, with some metallic detail on the intricate beading of the top, and to follow this metallic theme through to the simple clutch.
As it's chilly this time of year I decided to add a pastel pink fur jacket as a statement piece which will both keep you warm and add some colour to the outfit.
I've put in some makeup that I'd use alongside the outfit. The Dior 5 Couleur Palette in the shade Montaigne would be perfect to create a golden/bronze eye to compliment the look. I've also put in the By Terry Ombre Black Star in the Shade Blue Obsession as I thought it would create a beautiful pop of colour underneath the eye, and of course a classic red Chanel lip, which is perfectly festive and elegant.

So, here are some images of my final collection on the runway. As you can see I opted to make 4 women's outfits and two men outfits.
I am so proud to think how much I've grown up and all that I've learnt throughout my University experience, both when it comes to fashion, and life in general It's crazy to think I pretty much failed AS textile, twice, and soon enough I'll be graduating with a BA(Honours) degree in Fashion.
Fashion Graduate: My Final Collection
I've finally made it to to the of my degree. As you may know, the third year of a Fashion degree usually consists of creating a final collection from initial inspiration through to designing and making the garments. You then showcase that collection of 6 outfits in a fashion show at the end of the year.
I opted to make both men's and women's clothing. My collection included two dresses, three tops, two pairs of trousers, a pair of culottes, a jumpsuit, two capes and even some leg and neck warmers. I used a range of techniques within my collection, such as quilting and knitting which became main features.

The build-up to the fashion show is very nerve-wracking, having worked so hard on the collection for months before. There's a lot of pressure for your garments to come out the way you'd imaged.
As a third-year student, I got to watch the show, leaving the dressing, hair, makeup and modelling to others, which left me feeling both relaxed and anxious at the same time. I knew anything that went wrong was out of my hands, which is both freeing and daunting. Thankfully nothing did go wrong, with my collection or throughout the entire show.

The show was a success and I am so proud of everyone involved, myself included. I couldn't have asked for it to have gone any better. It is really strange to think my three years of University are over. It has flown by. I'm quite terrified to think it's now time to start my adult life and find a real job... fingers crossed I'll fall into something I love.
