If you know me, you know I'm a big fan of poetry, whether that is writing poetry or reading poetry written by others. Today I thought I'd share three different poetry books I enjoy flicking through.

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur - These poems are all fairly short and to the point. I have found them all to be very relatable. These poems are based on love and heartbreak, the book is split into four sections: The hurting, the loving, the breaking, the healing. The book also contains beautiful line illustrations which sit nicely alongside the words. This book is really quite lovely.

Hold Your Own by Kate Tempest - Unlike Milk and Honey the poems here are a lot longer. I think this is more of a spoken poetry book, I like to read these poems aloud to myself. The language in these poems is slightly more complex than the language in Milk and Honey, but still, the poems are fairly easy reading. Rather than being about love like Milk and Honey, I like to think this book is about personal growth, and learning to 'hold your own'. The book is split into the sections: Childhood, Womanhood, Manhood and Blind Profit.

E.E Cummings Selected Poems - I'm a big fan of E E Cummings poetry, I like his use of language and how his poems also speak through layout and punctuation. I think his poems just have a beautiful way with words. Once again, this book is split into sections, I won't name them all because there are quite a few. The poems in this book cover a range of themes from Childhood to Love to Myths. If you're into more traditional poetry, I'd recommend picking this book up.

I'd love to hear if you have any favourite poetry books or poets!
